Located in Baltimore, Maryland, MediGO is focused on increasing access to organ transplantation by optimizing a currently inefficient, costly, and opaque transplant supply chain. Developed with nationwide procurement research and global supply chain expertise, MediGO is the next generation hardware and software platform for organ transportation logistics and stakeholder communications which produces actionable data that respects the vital contribution of the donor and supports lifesaving healthcare for the recipient. MediGO uses the latest technologies in cloud-based architecture, social media applications, automation, IoT, sensors, big data, and analytics to support organ transportation activity in the United States and the organ procurement organizations (OPOs) which broker organ delivery and acceptance. Additional customers include insurance companies, organ transportation specialists (couriers), and transplant hospitals. Key Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college or university
  • 5+ years of industry experience in accountingor finance
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP
  • Adept Microsoft excel skills or able to learn new tech skills quickly

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • Audit or relevant experience with an accounting firm is a plus
  • Experience working in other technology companies is a plus
  • Experience with Quickbooks is a plus

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform daily bookkeeping to keep the accounting records up to date
  • Perform month end close procedures for balance sheet accounts including capital assets, prepaids, leases, accrued liabilities, accounts payable, payroll liabilities; reconcile bank and credit card accounts
  • Prepare and analyze variances from operating budgets
  • Prepare monthly journal entries and reconciliation workbooks to support balances reported
  • Create insightful monthly, quarterly and annual close package that summarize key business and accounting updates and present them to upper management
  • Analyze and prepare reports to manage ongoing cashflow needs
  • Perform periodic detailed analysis of all accounts to ensure proper treatment under US GAAP
  • Review and document contractual agreements, which includes interpreting contractual terms and understanding the application of our accounting policies and US GAAP
  • Assist with tax filing calculations, reconciliations, and payment remittances for State, IRS and 1099 preparation
  • Perform various A/P, A/R and payroll functions
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with current federal, state and local regulations
  • Assist in risk management (insurance, bank, vendor/lease requirements, )
