Waldorf School

Inspiring Children to Lead a Life of Purpose

About This Program

Developed by Rudolf Steiner in 1919, Waldorf Education is based on a profound understanding of human development that addresses the needs of the growing child. Educators at Waldorf School approach education holistically based on and inspired by the findings of Rudolf Steiner, the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America and the Waldorf Early Childhood Association Network.

The Waldorf School of Baltimore educates and inspires children in an unconventional yet revolutionary way. They teach students to “think, feel, and act with creativity, imagination and purpose.” The school has a mission to help the student body develop and refine their critical thinking skills. They use rigorous curriculum to guide their students to intellectual awareness and depth. They place tremendous importance on artistic as well as spiritual growth, promoting wisdom and guiding their students to be pioneers in their educational journeys.

Scott saw the opportunity to bolster the foundation of The Waldorf School of Baltimore through philanthropic efforts, so they could best support their students.
